Kendrick Haskins is a composer, arranger, drummer, and teacher originally from the Sacramento area. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music (with an emphasis in composing and arranging) and then graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2022 with master’s degree in Music Theory and Composition. Currently he teaches music theory at the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, 1-on-1 lessons for drum set and piano at a performing arts studio, and coaches percussion and drumline at a middle school and high school in the greater LA area.
His band, A Pale Umbra, is a math rock band with jazz and psychedelic influences that Kendrick and Simon Welch formed in 2017. Kendrick is the drummer and one of the songwriters for the group. Their debut EP is on Spotify and Apple Music.
